when i bought my celica last august (2001 model), the 2002s were arriving in sept/oct
the dealer told me there isnt a cosmetic difference, but 2003 will have "minor change"
i think its just like with most toyotas, after 2 or 3 years, they come out with a minor change too keep it fresh. just compare the 1997-2000 camrys and the 2000-2002 solaras, each year has a very minor change
2000-2001 celicas are identical, whereas the 2002 have front grilles and action package is a little different (3rd brake light is now located on rear wing)
i predict a change in tail lights and front lights/bumper, nothing too drastic though

Supposedly, the Celica will be getting HIDs as an option. The '03s should be out around August/September.

In a 5-year cycle, the 4th year gets the mild-refreshening.

thanks for responding. Yeah, i was just wondering cuz its not even in any magazines that say the 2003 cars. I just want them fix the rpms and more freakin horsepower baby! Possibly make a 5-speed automatic. but its all good

i think a 5-speed AT tranny is the last thing any1 would want on a celica.
HID as an option would be nice (but pricey i bet)
Any increase in HP/TQ is what most are looking for.
Maybe rev back to 8300 and make all us '02 owners that more mad. ;0
