Well it depends on wheather or not you have a 2000 an 01, or an 02. And is it a GT or a GT-S. You can only have a 2000 GT turbo charged there is only 2 kits out that i know of. And you cant turbocharge a GT-S because it hits lift, the engine set up isnt right, and a bunch of componants will go haywire. HKS it making a supercharger for the GT and GT-S. Thats the only force induction i know of for a GT-S. (Besides Nitrous). But if you are really wanting to turbocharge your GT-S and you have around 10,000$ just waiting to be spent. If you need any info about anything more just email me at maxis_pb21@hotmail.com

To my knowledge HKS does not make superchargers. Am I wrong?

HKS doesn't make supercharger
that's what i know

if i get a turbo kit, i know that header will be taken off, and what about intake?
do i need to take it off too?
it's all aftermarket part that i talk about

intake most likely, since the air from the turbo will go through the intercooler, then get pushed into the car again, which means that it needs to connect where the intake is.

at least i think

at least i think

it goes intake==>turbo(compressor)==>to crossover==>to TB/intakemanifold

with i/c

it goes Intake==>compressor side of turbo==>pre I/C piping==>i/c==>after I/C piping==> TB/Intake manifold

the only reason you would have to get rid of your intake would be because the piping would probably be bent wrong to go to the turbo compressor inlet

yes you would definitely get rid of your intake.. the filter/intake would now come off the compressor housing on the turbo, then the other housing on the turbo goes to the intercooler which then goes to the throttle body where your intake would have normally gone..

There are alot of un-informed people on here!?!

I got the impresion that you plan on doing this turbo on your own. Do us all a favor and not do that!

You need more than a sheet of paper, turbo, ic, and some pipes to make a turbo kit.

Let a custom shop handle all that stuff.

And Celica_turb00... what hp out put are you getting? What psi? ect....
