i just recently installed my gauges...my gauge can change from blue to green with a swtich... when i set it to blue.. i get a low tone... when i set the dimmer lower the sound starts to fade away... but then i want to set the dimmer on high.. when its switched to green the sound goes away... does anyone know if this is normal? did i do something wrong?

Thanx

I remember mines did the same thing when I change the color tone. That's normal. Besides, I never change my color and always keep it at blue. I didn't even mount the dimmer, I just threw it in the back of my gauge. I wouldn't worry much about it

I don't thin that is normal. Mine don't make a sound at all no matter what color or brightness I set. Maybe there is something wrong with the transformer?

What you are hearing is the transformer being a POS. Basically, the transformer has to convert 12VDC into 100 or higher AC current in order to illuminate the EL plate. So when it does this, you can hear a slight hum or a "duhhhzzz" kinda sound.
