Hey all. I'm getting new tires this year as mine are starting to wear out. I'm thinking about getting the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 instead of another set of Parada Spec-2.

However, I was thinking of going to 215 wide instead of 205 wide on 17x7 rims. Will I notice a difference in traction? Will these fit? Any rubbing issues? What sidewall should I get 40 or 45?

Thanks.

Will I notice a difference in traction?

sorta. not overwhelming though.

Will these fit?

yep.

Any rubbing issues?

nope.

What sidewall should I get 40 or 45?

i would go with 45 but 40 wouldn't be much of a difference.

I have the f1 gs-d3's awesome in the rain as well. I love the traction and they do not wear as fast as other tires with the same grip.

Only one down side. You will not be able to go anywhere in the snow. You have better traction on teflon with them than snow. If this is an issue good year has similar ones that are all seasons.

Good to hear. That's one of the reasons I'm choosing this tire. Tire Rack gave it pretty good wet traction ratings. I hated trying to get started in the rain and spinning through first and into second.

Thanks for the info guys.
