I've got a Silver Celica GT-S, Kaminari front/rear bumpers, RMM sideskirts, Kaminari CF Race wing, and TRD lowering springs. I'm interested in what you guys think of these Gunmetal Mean 6 wheels in 17" on my car.

Also, what would the best tire size be for these??
Thanks,

They look awesome. A friend has them in 18's on his RSX.

i was thinking about them to until someone told me that the 18's which i wanted looked like 17's. I would be mad as hell if i had gooten them and that was true. Someone had pics of them on a blue celica, and i couldn't really tell.

I think these wheels are availble in 35mm offset. Would that push the rims out a little closer to flush with the wheelwells/sides of the car? (if so, this is what I want).
And I'm thinking about Toyo Proxes FZ4 in 215/45ZR17. Can anyone see any problems with this combo of wheel, offset, and tire (rubbing wheels, tires, calipers, etc.)
I suck at this kinda stuff, and would like some reassurance/help.
Thanks everyone!

That size look sright, but why go 45? You don't want something in a slightly smaller profile like 40 or 35?

Yeah, maybe 215/40ZR17 I do have the Kam kit, and the TRD lowering springs, and my main concerns after rubbing is scraping the kit, and ride quality. I don't want to suffer while I look good. Performance is also an issue.
Anyone wanna through in comments about the above issues with the tire combos I've mentioned?

OK, I've been calling around today, and it sounds like 42mm offset is the only one available. I really don't wanna get screwed with wheels that don't fit.
Thanks in advance for any help.

i have those rims and i love them, i also have a 45 series tire and i like that better because it fills the wheel gap better and makes it look just a little lower. having the polished lip does make it look a little smaller but everyone that has seen my rims all thought they were 17 and i havent had any bad coments on them.

aren't they 17's though?

slapshot: I am very serious about buying these rims, and was hoping you could answer some questions about them for me.
Is there any rub or other problems with these wheels/tires?
Are yours 42mm offset? No problems on the calipers? (I have a GT-S as well so ours should fit same)
Do you have any rub while turning the wheels to their full extent (ex. U-Turns?)
Do you have a drop on your car?
And finally, can you post some pics of these on your car for me, or email them to me?
Thanks!!!

I'm hoping to get this rims also in a couple of weeks. But I'll get mine in silver since my car is absolutely red. I don't think that gun metal would look good with my color, any opinions?? I'm thinking on getting the ones with the 35 offset and put some 215/45/17 on them.

Unfortunately, after calling around and even calling TENZO-R themselves, I found out that this wheel ONLY comes in 42 offset. I had really wanted 35, but oh well.
Silver would look great on red, and so would white. Do they make Mean-6 in white?
