ok so lets start with launching, i have a 2000 gt-s 6 spd, i keep it in first dont have the foot on the brake, rev it to what 4k rpms? then do i just let of the clutch wicked fast or what do i do to launch it?

2nd, when im going fast when racing it when should i shift at for 2nd, 3rd, 4t, 5th, do i redline them all or try too?

3rd is it bad when you're on a hill you have the clutch set and you rev it to like 3k rpms to get it going while slowly taking the foot off the clutch or how am i suppose to do this correctly?

4th when in traffic i keep it in 1st and then can i just glide with the clutch and not gas it or will this ruin my car and do i always have to stop with the clutch fully down can i just keep it at the sweet spot gliding and hit the brake?

5th is it bad to drive in 4k or 5k rpms for along time or what does this do?

thanks!

1) since you are a newbie at this rev it to 3k and drop the clutch and floor the gas simultaneously. when you get a good feel for the clutch you slip at 5k.

2)when you are racing always shift at 8300 rpms.

3)when your on a hill give it some gas, 3k is good, and slowly let out the clutch. you'll get better with practice.

4)try not to keep the clutch anywhere in the middle when you are moving. it should either be all the way up or down. when coming to a stoplight just pop the car in neutral, that way you don't have to mess with the clutch. once you are stopped put the clutch in select 1st and just wait for the light.

5) the only thing you are harming by driving at 4-5k is your gas mileage. if you do it for a long long time i guess the engine might overheat or it won't last very long.
