I need som help here. The problem is:

At slow speeds there is a constant rubbing noise coming from the passenger front tire area. As spped increases, the noise becomes more and more sporadic but there is a "wobbling" noise presant. Then at 70 the entire car starts to shake. I know it is not the rim being off balance and its not the alignment. can some help?

has got to be the rim itself (more likely)or the alignment
hit any big pothole or anything noticable as of late?
take it to a shop and have them balance and align ya
have em take a look at the rim as well
its the 1st place to start
and plz! low speeds untill ya get this problem under control

how do you know it isn't the rim or the alignment?

Anything that obvious should be easy to find.

Possibly a bent axle or busted CV joint?

If you drive slowly with the car in a full turn (full lock steering) do you hear a wump-wump-wump-wump?

had alingment done and wheels checked. not sure about the "wump" noises....car at good year now...

any chance it could be a warped rotor?

Do you feel it in hte brake pedal? If not, then it isn't likely to be a warped rotor.

How are the wheel bearings, maybe one is loose or has failed prematurely.

if you have regular contact between the rotor and the pads (cause of warped rotor, caliper binding, etc.) then you're gonna have the rubbbing / wobbling...

a busted CV joint will do the same.. hope its not that though cause its $$$ to repair that.. .is your car under warranty?

if its a CV it would be... if its the brake stuff you have to start from the beginning with a "theres something wrong with the car" "when i press the brakes and let go the calipers dont come back out"... they'll diagnose it as such and replace your calipers.. they'll also inspect rotor run-around and then replace them ... if you have a lot of miles on the car though they can deny the service as it obviously is a wear item.

if you had tires rotated recently - the tire could have flat spots that you might not have felt when it was in the rear - happened to me recently
