Hey all,

I just got my Wings West body kit and am kind of surprised how...flimsy the material seems. I dunno what I was expecting but I just figured it would be more solid for the money they charge. Does anyone have any good pics of this kit installed or have the kit themselves to give their thoughts? Some pics would be nice if anyone has em'.

Also - I have a Red 2000 GTS, anyone know what I am looking at $$$ wise to get it painted and installed in the states?

Thanks in advance!

I had the WW kit for over a year. The quality was great. When you pick it up it just seems flimsy but it really isnt. The urethane was really thick. At first I tried to install it myself. I got the front and back on no problems but for some reason the sides wouldnt stay flush on the side of the car so I took it to the shop and I dont know what they did but they did the whole car over and it look good. It cost about $600 to install and paint.

I am very interested to see how this thread plays out because my local body shop has told me tht they have had the most trouble of all aftermarket manufacturers with Wings West fitment. Are they insane or has anyone else had similar experience?

It should be the easiest cuz all they have to remove is the stock side skrits. The rest are just lips. Your body shop is just BS'ing you to get more money out of you. I got the whole kit painted and re-installed tighter with WW wing for only $600

WW = bad fitment. The rear valence is horrible. I have WW and I hate the fitment.

My whole kit fit 100% perfect. Some do, some dont. Luck of the draw.

ummm my ww kit fits perfect and is very durable..the urethane materila is the besta rund for kits..if it doesnt fit goiod all u have to do it just bend it a lil more and it will not crack it will fitr perfect....i dont think u even have to take opff the stock side skirts...i didnt take mine off and it still fits perfect..idk maybne i should take em off to save some weight.... here are my pics..the kit still needs som touching up .we still have to buff the paint to smoothe it out and all buty it still is very good..here are the pics..tell me what u think..

do you have to remove the black under body thingy to install the wings west side skirts??

the only problem i had was with the rear valence ..it seems a little too big for the car during the initial fitting..also, the adhesives didn't hold too well in the corners, but nothing a little glue crap couldn't fix

i also got scared with the side skirts, so i ended up putting a few extra screws underneath and on the inside where the sill is...the front fit just fine

um..i ended up paying 250 to paint (the shop said they actually had to paint it twice?) and 150 to install (that's in CAD) :) so that'd equal about 99 bones USD :D
