I found a 2ZZGE out of an 02 GTS. They said it was run low on antifreeze or something like that, needs a rebuild. They want $200 for it. Would this be worth it? What would be good parts to use for a rebuild? And would I need to find a new ECU?
Also, will the tranny from my GT mate to a 2ZZ?

where in tennessee is this at? 200 for a complete motor isnt bad, you can rebuild it or build it yourself for under 1k. if it doesnt come with a stock ecu, then youll need to find a ecu for the GTS, 2000 gts ecu can be had around here for not much cash or if your balling with no budget get the standealone ems...
your 1zz tranny will work with the 2zz. it depends on what you want to use the motor for, speed? cruise? etc. you can find a gts tranny for around 600 used now a days, hell i sold one for 400 that just needed a clutch kit and it was ready to rock. hope this helps.

It's in East Brainerd (or East Ridge, can't remember). I'm in Dunlap right outside of Chattanooga, so either way it's maybe an hour from me. I'm trying to decide if thats what I want to do or not. I could probably use the money elsewhere, but if I don't have to pay for a couple things then heck yes
