Having a car costs money.. Paint included! By doing this! it really makes you look cheap. Seriosly the painters tape cant take that much ubuse anyway.. The paint will still be chipped. If this is really something these guys burn for, they could Get some vinyl or something, that would atleast make it LOOK right.

I dont see anything wrong with people doing this, it's cheap and pretty effective if your going on a long road trip and want to minimize rock chips.

i have done my part in taping my whole front for a long trip

i do it on the way to shows as i already touched up any rock chips from daily, its waxes and cleaned. that and it seems every big show it rains so it keep the front looking decent

i also did the vents to keep dirt/water out of the engine bay as i had just spent a day cleaning that as well

nah it just keep the header cooler ;) as it is my strut bar blocks the header opening and that vent piece isnt there. so prettymuch all the scoop does is poor ambient air, water and bugs right onto the valve cover

most shows i just wrap the flat front parts or areas where bugs/rocks hit most often. rairly do i ever do the whole front like that. I was just bored and had some tape left over ;)
