Has anyone used a Ball Joints fork separator to remove front lower Ball Joints?
1. I am trying find out if it is possible?
2. And to get a feel of how hard it would be?

I know how to take things loose to get it in position to remove them... I just don't want to tear up a Ball Joint without being able to put a new one in.
And I don't want to pull hubs to change them.

I'm not positive you need to separate them like you do on an old car. The ball joints are in a carrier that is bolted on. I believe you can simply unbolt everything and replace the ball joint as a unit.

in an celica the steering knuckle or spindle must be removed with the ball joint attached. then you can use a ball jount spreader ( pickle fork) or what ever you want to call it and a big hammer (3 lbs sledge or larger) ; or a pitman arm puller to remove. A pitman arm puller will never damage the boot because it never touches it. a pickle fork can break the boot if it is older and dried out.
