Just wondering what are some must-have mods to make the car look better in your opinion(not that it looks bad stock). The less-expensive the better :)

S2000 antenna is, in the opinions of many, a must-have appearance mod. Looks a lot better than the lightning rod that comes with the car.

Get some wheels, and lower the car. That alone make a world of difference.

Here's where my car has been as far as appearance mods.
1. S2K antenna (a shorter antenna is a good idea unless you are starring off-Broadway as Zorro)
2. Injen Dress-up kit (not planned but some guy named LarryD made me a deal I could not refuse)
3. 15% Window Tint
4. TRD Springs (performance as well)
5. Wheels/Tires
6. Kaminari Bodykit
4-6 are most important...lower first, wheels next, then bodykit. Many agree, some disagree. My plan makes sense.
Edited after Mistrimeat pointed out a numbering error :wtf: ;)

As far as cheap mods, gotta agree with PoweredbyRICE. Though I skipped almost everything besides hyperwhite, S2000, painting rotors, and washing, I went straight for the wheels. Not positive on my next mod though. Any suggestions?

Am I the only one who doesn't much care for the S2000 antenna? I have a silver celica, and don't really want a black antenna on it, I'd rather have the stock one, or a nice polished aftermarket one...
As far as must-have mods, I think wheels are a good place to start.

As the original post says, he was looking for less-expensive appearance mods. Wheels aren't exactly cheap.

I have no intention of changing my antenna. I just painted my stock one black. A lot less visible now.

Yeah I have an Injen CAI and reflective fill-in decal on the way. The CAI cut my funds pretty short so I was looking for some relatively cheap mods till I get my next big paycheck. Where is the best place to get clear corners(decent ones)? What % tint in your opinion looks good on a silver celica?(legal limit is 35%, but I see vehicles around with limo all the time so that really isn't an issue)
The big mods are all planned for sometime in the future. Street racing isn't real big in my area(curvy mountain roads :) ) so I'm planning on going maybe half performance/half appearance. All the girls already love the car too ;)

NO!!! I have a silver celica as well, and I can't stand the look of the S200 antenna! I don't think the stock antenna looks bad, so I will stick with that.

I am right with you on all of that. I just installed my CAI about 2 weeks ago, you are going to LOVE IT! At first it didn't really seem to make a difference, so don't be disappointed. But after a couple of days I started to notice some major changes. Now it sounds AWESOME! And I am kinda going for the half performance/half appearance mods on mine as well, there isn't too much racing action around here. So good luck and have fun!

lowering, rims, kit.
i know its not cheap but it totally changes the car.
also a spoiler and a hood scoop make it into a different car too.
not cheap once again so start saving.

X-EVIL-X, that's the order I'm talking about. You can see the "progression" (in reverse from now to then) of my car in the link below.

Hmm I'm a little iffy about dropping it. There are potholes around here that look like craters, not to mention lots of gravel roads. Anyone had problems with these?
If I did drop it, I'd drop it an inch or a little more. Would 17's look bad with the car at stock height? About how much would a decent set of springs and installation put me down? Thanks.

Go with the Hotchkis springs. They drop the car to about a two finger gap. Read my thread in the performance forum to see what's involve in doing your own install.

well, for both looks and functionality, definately buy a grill to protect your condensor, unless you already have one, I would buy that first.

I did this too and it looked much better
I think the stock wheels look good and lowering would
be the best apperance mod (cheaper than a kit)
