I don't know how people steal cars but what if I was to have a shaved door kit and put a cover on the hood relese? they can't get in and even if they did they can't shut off the alarm right?...

uh.. break the window? tow it? isn't that how they steal most cars anyway?
as for the hood release, my idea was remove the switch altogether. pretty easy to do. then they'd be like wtf and can't unhook your alarm.

they tow it?? I though they just jam open your car from the key hole, open the hood shut off your alarm, then hot wire your car and drive off...

Why? Sirens do do sh!t except annoy people. In a crowded lot or parking garage - nobody gives a fock if an alarm is going off, they just ignore it.
The more crap you put on your car to prevent theft, the better. It slows them down. I like using a Gorilla sterring wheel lock, pain generator siren (Tiny peizo siren for in the cab under the passenger side dash - extremely loud), AutoLock, and of course a good aftermarket alarm. Oh and Always lock you glove box for those bash 'n' dash fockers. I dont know how many times they have broken into my car and ripped off all my CDs out of the glove box.

i want to put a second siren in my car. that way they won't be able to ignore it. it'll be so loud they won't be able to sit in my car.

Yeah, its called a "pain generator" siren...its a tiny version of a normal alarm siren that can be hidden somewhere up under your dash. Unless the thief carries earplugs with him, theres no way he could tolerate the high pitched db that thing puts out

hehehe. i want 2. how do these wire? can i run them in series with the other siren? or better yet, parallel, so that if one is cut it won't matter? i have an alpine 8028 alarm, i don't think they do two siren outputs but i donno. or do you use an ext out or what?

I dunno. But I know there are sirens with backup batteries in them, so if the wires DO get cut, they will continue to function for an indefinate amount of time. I've also heard of people going mideval on car theives....mounting razor blades behind the area where the radio goes...so when someone tries to rip it out, they get some nasty gashes and such...sounds cool if you ask me.

An idea I'm surprised I haven't heard more about is wiring a switch to the fuel pump. Would stop them from driving off with your car.

Some aftermarket alarms already do that..fuel pump cutoff relay
