Curious if you think your driving experience ( in a celica) is significantly greater if you've upgraded your wheels. In terms of driving experience, it can be anything from ride comfort, handling, safety, performance, cornering, etc, etc..
Or is there not much difference at all?
Need new tires, debating on whether or not to invest in a set of 16x7's first Currently have stock GT's

bigger wheel, less tire = more noise and more bumps. also in most (i stress most as there are other wheels that are exceptions to the rule) are heavier then most smaller wheels so you loose power as well

Even if larger wheels are lighter they are likely to have more weight away from the center hub which is bad. The only real advantage of larger wheels is the ability to fit wider tires.

Generally speaking, better braking and handling with smaller (esp. lighter) wheels. If overall diameter with tire is smaller, better final gearing too.

I like the 15x8 over the 15x6.5 with the same 205-50-15 (RT-615) tires.
