well i finally did it.

Holy crap! :AF:
More pics please? A lot more pics....
edit: just a thought, if you rolled your celica... do you really think you'll fair better with an echo?

Thats awxome - how do you like the Echo with the extra power?
Those things always impressed me with their high speed handling. TONS of body roll, but once the vehicle settles on the bump stops it sticks in a turn remarkably well.

Wow good work! Have you taken it to the track as of yet?

183 out of a supercharged 1zz, are those numbers accurate?
I'm dyno illiterate, which ones read high, low?

Wow -- cool!
What are you using to run the gauges -- two ECU's plus AEM? Looking forward to more pics and more details -- nicely done

That echo is a crazy sleeper!

most people here dont realize how good the echo can handle and how EASY it is to take one to its limits.
dropping a supercharged 1zz / 6spd trans into one takes care of my only issue with the car which is lack of power.
Awesome job.

I rolled my 2000 celica @ willowsprigs raceway back in 2003.
What happened? I’m guessing the back end came around on you possibly in a chicane which sent you sideways in to the grass and flipped it.
Do you still have any pics? And videos of the echo are a must.

Need your help people!!!
WTB: 1zz Cams and Valve springs or anything to build /w
Im looking for upgraded Cams and Valve springs for a 1ZZ-ge
Boosted or race cams dont matter.
Crower or MWR or who ever the hell makes them.
Or i will consider anything els to build a motor with ie: head studs, gasket, pistons, crank but no electronics needed.
Tell me what you have to get rid of.

Did the 6 speed clear the chassis rail? Or is it cut and stepped/other solution?

Thanks guys.
I used a 1zz because I had one from my Celica i flipped. plus I wanted the supercharger with the 6spd.
The tranny did not clear the rail and neither did the motor. I had to notch the tranny side and cut the engine side.
I am going to switch to an AEM EMS so I will run higher revs and the 5th inj will be 100% methanol.
so seriously I want Valve spring and maybe cams.

Interesting. You don't happen to have any photos of it?
A couple people have tried the 2zz + 6speed in Australia with all projects stopping due to the rail (main cause is either budget blowouts or hack workshops that can't get things straight).
Good stuff for succeeding

I don't know that the cams were making great power on the 1ZZ (or the 2ZZ for that matter) -- are the valve springs to rev higher? I'm not sure the 1ZZ will make much power reved past fuel cut, although the S/C may change all that.
PM Jcanracer, I think he has them and he might have some good input for you.
You might look into replacing the factory header with the PPE 1ZZ header, assuming it will clear everything. That might also make reving higher worthwhile.
Remember, if you use 100% methanol for the 5th injector, you will need A LOT of methanol relative to gasoline to handle the extra fueling requirements-- stoich for methanol is around 6:1.
Make sure you inject after the S/C (I assume that's what you're doing) -- a methanol backfire could toast the S/C.
Any way to put a smaller pulley on the S/C, or is it pretty well maxed out as is?
