ok, i just orderd a set of Enki Or52 rims with high peformance falken tires. Next i'm working on my brakes and suspension. Here's what i'm thinking so far:

Hotchkis Comp. sways
Hotchkis camber kit
Tein SSP's
Tein EDFC
brake lines
brembo stock sized rotors- i need new brakes, so i figure "why not upgrade?"
axxis brake pads

so, what do you guys think, would this be a good set up for daily driving and occasional autocross and drag racing? anybody with experience with these parts that they'd like to share?

and what kind of brake fluid would you guys recommend i use?

thanks for any info you guys share.

The edfc is completely unnecessary

yeah, i know it's unnecessary, but it would be a nice little extra to have. that plus im graduating from college in a couple weeks and i figure "why not go all out?". besides, i already bought a cusom fiberglass centerconsole to hold the edfc unit where the ashtray used to be, so i might as well use it.

nice list, would be nice for daily driving/auto-x... but as for drag racing? if you dont have any mods to increase horsepower then it is kinda pointless

oh, i have the basic bolt ons, but i have plans for power adders too, but i can only handle one thing at a time. so i figured that i'd be best with supporting mods, like suspension, first. once this step is done, i'm going to go with engine mods (i.e. bore/sleeved block, pistons, oil pump gears, rod/main bearings, and valve/valve springs) but that next step isn't for quite some time yet.

Even if you want to go all out I always suggest people do not buy EDFC and the like because you only really want to adjust your suspension to the right one setting and leave it there.

Adjusting valving while you're driving around is super retarded.

why not get street sway bars? Graduating college and going all out? Why not pay up all your loans first :D

Brembo rotors are also no different than other blank rotors. They are just hunks of metal.

I think people just like saying they have brembo brakes (which i think is purposefully misleading as the caliper matters a **** ton more than the rotor).

because i have over $40k in scholarships and i'm lucky enough to have my parents cover the rest.

that's what i was kind of thinking too, but wouldn't the drilled and slotted aspect help braking at least a little more than a stock rotor would?

No. Look it up, it's a well-discussed topic here.

ok then. thanks for the help. but i'm still curious, are there any good brands of brake fluid that i should get when i do all this work? or is brake fluid just the same as the next brake fluid?

I don't understand, why aren't they necessary? i thought that a camber kit is needed when you add a coilover/lowering kit to our cars...it's not going to sway my decision one way or the other because i already ordered all the suspension parts i have listed, but i'm just curious.

LOL, hehe.....Financial responsibility first eh.

haha, i get that all the time. the agreement was that i get good grades and they pay for my college...well pay for what the scholarships don't cover, which was still A LOT! so, i help up my end of the agreement, so i'm lucky enough to have no major financial responsibilities.

The car is equipped with eccentric camber bolts in the rear that allow a range of camber adjustment. These bolts can also be replaced by cheap "crash" bolts which have a different lobe profile and allow for even greater camber adjustment if needed. These bolts are cheap.

Essentially camber links would do the same thing as these bolts but they cost more money. The majority of the time you should be able to realign your car properly with the stock bolts for an added cost of $0.00.
