LOL, just ask them if they want to race (don't rev back), then when the light turns green, take a right turn at the light and make them look like idiots! :D

We already have those, as well as Mustangs and Firebirds .. completely unmarked, in a variety of colors.

Maybe it's just me but a Camaro with a light bar, no matter how small, and a sticker on the door that says CHIPs isn't exactly a stealth street racer....
Independance, OH has a Firebird that is painted purple/green chameleon that has no light bars, no stickers, no nothing....races up and down I-480 every weekend waiting for people to play tag...then a marked car pulls them over for it. Wouldn't have known it was a police car except it is always parked at the station except for on weekends and I've watched the cops play that tag-team pickup on people twice in the last year.

haha this is funny. At least its not as bad as it was when I lived in Seattle.. They had Cop cars painted to look EXACTLY like Taxi cabs.. Nothing like doing 90-95mph down the HWY and have a Taxi in your Rearview with lights flashing at you from inside its windows. haha

In wisconsin its all about weird speed traps. They had a grey beat up fan on a jack on the side of the road with a cop inside shooting laser and then he would radio to two squad cars sitting up the road. Crazy **** I tell ya
we've got several camaro's and vette's as patrol cars around here...

Colorado State Patrol has had Camaros and Mustangs for some time now, but are usually marked.
And they are seriously fast.
At some of the summer fairs, CSP will have a booth setup, where they have a hot rod or two. Sweet cars--the guys that drive them treat them like their kids, and usually have big grins on their faces when you talk to them about the cars. Pretty cool, actually.

I think thats kind of entrapment. A police car is suppose to stand out so that you know its there. If it dosent stand out thats just like a cop hiding behind big rigs and then pulling you over. Thats entrapment and that illegal. I got pulled over by the CHP a few month ago (the same one that sliced my hand up) and it was a white car with no police light and it said CHP on the back door. Thats not right. Whats next... Cops in plain cars pulling you over?

Don't know where you've been but they've had unmarked cars since I was a kid. If you are merrilly speeding along and get caught by an unmarked why do you think that is entrapment? Did they make or induce you to speed, no, they just caught you by being sneaky.
I particularly like that sting their using where they leave a car parked with the keys in it. Unknown to the thieves is they can disable the ignition and lock the doors with a remote. The dummies jump in and take off, having a good old time until the car shuts down and locks up. Just can't beat that stuff for laughs. :chuckles:

You might make a good case in court. Get GLoria Alred as your attorney... if she can get a girl in the boyscouts she can get you off :chuckles:

Do you guys realize how unconstitutional this is? If I ever got pulled over by one of those guys, I would get myself a lawyer and sue.

To the best of my knowledge, there is a law that states you cannot prosecute someone else if the activity you are doing is illegal to begin with. For example, I could not prosecute someone for stealing illegal drugs from me since I was in the possession of them, which is illegal to begin with. Therefore, how is it legal for someone to get fined and/or prosecuted for racing when what the cop is doing is illegal in the first place. The reason this law is out there is because had the illegal act not taken place, the person may not have done their illegal act to begin with.
Will the unconstitutionality of this law stop the police from prosecuting people? No, it won't. Cops have been breaking the Constitutional rights of Americans for years with drug stings and prostitution stings.

Where in that article did it say they would be used in the manner you predict? I guess if they did you would deserve getting a ticket, for being an idiot if not speeding. It's says they are plainly marked on the side.

If I remember correctly, here in AZ, there was a news report on people that pose as cops buy just adding some red and blue strobes to their cars. They pull people over and either rob or rape them. So they had some spokes person from the police say "You should never pull over for a car that is unmarked" "We never use unmarked cars for traffic vialations. If an unmarked does see someone that needs to be pulled over, they will simple radio for marked car to pull the vehical over"
Thats just what the news said....
So if an unmarked car threw his lights on behind me and I just kept driving the speed limit and I told the court this after I was arrested for Avaiding a Police Officer, I bet I would still get a ticket for running from the cops.

hmm, not really my .02, just what everyone says... cops gota have running lights on when trapping at night, daytime- anything is game as long as the cops cars are fully visible at the time they trap you. undercovers can radio moving violations to marked cars but cant be used to radio trap speeds while on the side of the road. under covers CAN pull over felony violations, not misdermenors (spelling!).
speaking of speed traps, ive seem some hella-wierd crap going down on i20 over the last few months. a state trooper is sitting on the side of tha road doors open, trooper snooping around in the back of a pulled over 18 wheeler, obviously wont be able to chase anyone speeding by. 1/4th mile down the road, a trooper is hiding behind a hill where you cant see them untill you are right next to them (legal since they trap you in full visibility) and then another 1/4th of a mile down the road, the exact same kinda trooper is set up. i also noticed that there were 2 more hills on the roadside where these troopers could hide- and 1 mile down the road there were 2 more troopers writing tickets to domestics :) seemed like they had a 5 car gang bang going on...
