Do new springs actually add to the overall smooth feel of the car? Or do stock springs generally not wear out?

Cuz I'm planning on getting new struts, but I don't really need/want a drop so is there any other reason to pay the extra for springs/coilovers if I'm just looking for a smoother ride?

Aftermarket springs/coilovers are going to be stiffer than stock springs.

So to answer your question, it's not going to be smoother. You'll be feeling the road a lot more.

To answer your first question generally stock springs do not wear out. It's possible but it's more possible that most of the rest of the car would fail first.

So I'd be looking for some with a lower spring rate than OEM?

I'll prolly just look into some tokico blue hp struts when I go down that path.

In theory, I just don't know if anyone makes a spring with a rate lower than stock. In fact you're the first person I can remember on here that wanted such a thing.

lol I dont want it, just saying that's what I'd be looking for if i absolutely had to have springs and I wanted a nicer ride.
