no, i pulled the lower dash out and the center console and went to toyota they were cocks and wouldnt let me see the wiring diagrams or talk to a mechanic so i headed out to circuit city and they wired it up for me for 14.00$ came home and put it all together. works good but now the buttons on my stereo dont light up but the display works fine. any ideas?

wow.. you've got it in there already.. i've had it in my car for atleast 4 months and just haven't gotten around to throwing it in, that's why i let it go.. good job on the circuit city.. i never even thought of that.. i'd check your wires and see what they used for your positive connection.. does the button work fine?! hmm..

yea the button works great and the a/c lights work its just the radio buttons. I ordered the wiring diagrams book from toyota and it will be here thursday so ill check it all out. we have 5 different books for our car and it would be around $400 to $500 to get them all. the engine book was was over $100

not sure, but toyota told me there diagrams come from toyota over the internet. i searched and searched but could not find anything. oh well i will have the book and my cars in the body shop untill thursday anyway so i just have to wait. im sure its something simple. like a fuse behind the radio or they tapped the wrong wire. i did find that my radio fuse was blown but it still worked. i replaced the fuse and nothing changed. so more than likely i have the problem isolated to under the drivers dash where he was working.
