Good afternoon,

Yesterday some of you may have noticed I opened a thread asking for a new / used oil pan due to hitting a pot hole on accident and denting mine, well after noticing a scuffing sound coming from my passenger side, I decided to take a look. My suspension is with skunk2 coilovers, everything else stock.

[Both rears look like the passenger side]

Drivers Side:

[Please take note, my passenger side is the one that was making all of the noise.] If I was to pull out of a drive way and having to get off of a slanted ending curb, when turning my wheel right all the way it would make an almost-like scuffing/rubbing noise.

I wounder what is causing this, what damage is being done, is it a quick fix - push back into place and most all I want to know how this was caused. I am thinking that because it's slanted since the drivers side is a little tilted?

Experts, enlighten me! I'm lost

From what I hear, its a rubber piece that helps hold it into place. So the entire time I was thinking it was an actual medal piece and would be causing major damage it appears not to be so. I will shortly be taking my wheel off to investigate. I might end up taking pictures of it in case someone else later along the lines runs into this same issue.

your problem might be coming from the factory perches still being on, you have to remove these in order for the sleeve to properly seat to the shock, its not sitting right and its probly moving around while you drive this could cause serious damage to your suspension down the road, did you get install instructions wit your sleeves?
