I had some free time today so i decided to go somewhere to get my new set of tires mounted on that have been sitting in the garage for quite awhile. I usually go to a local shop to get work done and they always do a great job and never run into problems. However they don't do tire mounting so i had to look elsewhere. I found a place right down the road, "Johnson and Flick automotive center". their main gig was tires so i figured it'd be a safe bet and i'd save a few bucks by not going to the dealership.
All i asked for them to do was to change my tires and that was it. So after two hours of waiting i finally was told it was finished. However, they suggested i take care of some other things while i was there:
1. Your brake light is out, would you like us to repair it?
are you kidding me? i think i could handle it myself instead of getting charged for them to do it.
2. Your oil looks dirty would you like us to change it?
I went in to get tires changed and thats it wtf are they checking out my engine?
3. Front Rotors are bad
Had the replaced last summer <10k on them and the braking is still great. more BS
I've came to the conclusion that this place was no different than a fast food joint. Always trying to suggestive sell something.
After denying both offers, i go outside and wait for my car to be pulled out. I see the guy backing out, comes to a stop, then i hear griding as it he puts it into gear  They must not know what a clutch is.
I'll give it 24 hours before i judge how they did with the tires. anything i should look for?
im not sure if this place is national, i know there a 3 of them in my area. anyways, :thumbdown:thumbdown
watchout
