Okay so I've retired my 2000 Celica GT with over 140,000 miles on it with almost everything on it original. With gas being so high and my Tacoma being a little less nimble for Northern CA traffic I am looking into getting my Celica back into good road shape with upgrades. I was really disappointed in finding that Hotchkis does not make the stage 3 kit anymore. What is the best full suspension kit offering available now. Suspension is the top of my list right now with brake pad upgrades and stainless lines being the most aggressive for me now. I'm not taking it to the track I just want an aggressive handling street car. The performance mods will be minimal, AEM CAI, I have an Apexi N1 muffler with custom piping which I will have redone with Mandrel Bends this time. I plan on getting the headers ported and potentially replacing the Fly Wheel with a Fidenza. Maybe go with PFC if I feel it necessary. Other than that lighter 15 inch wheels and good tires and I'll call it my daily driver fun cornering car.

I'm glad to hear a response from a Bilstein owner since Hotchkis recommended those coilovers when I called them on Friday. So I take an awesome street setup would be
1. Hotchkis sway bars
2. Bilstein Coilovers
3. Hotchkis rear camber links
4. Cusco Pillow Ball Upper Mounts
5. TRD brake pads or better if you have suggestions
6. Steel Braided brake lines for front
If you have any better suggestions or comments please let me know. I'm also confused on the difference in actual street driveability between hotchkis street sways and the more agressive competition sways. The rear sway puts more stress on the tires so I'm assuming you have to have sticky race type tires or you will break the rear end loose on hard corners in the street. Is it really that bad though and can't you overcome that with driving or is it dangerous to have for a street car only that will never see the track.

yeah i'm on the setup you described minus the Hotchkis Rear Camber links, and running on Potenza RE050's, the Cusco Pillow mounts aren't a necessity though, you can run whatever Pillow mounts you want, I just happen to be in Japan at the time and bought them for cheap, but any would do really, Cusco camber plates are kind of expensive in the US.

So did you do the install yourself or did you have a local shop do it? I'm in the south bay so if you know any good suspension places I'd love to know.
