just installed new 17"s on my car and it feels amazing
i had a bent right wheel from hitting a pothole (thats my guess) and my car vibrated like crazy now it feels so smooth its indescribable

i took it to sears they did a great job. luckly i had some guys in college working on it that actually knew what they were doing and they let me stick around and help some. while i was there i had my car re-aligned, the guy said that my right rear strut was stuck so he could not adjust the rear camber

this probably means i need a new rear strut right?
if so should i get one or both new rear and what type
i just need something reliable and good name behind it and not too expensive but not ebay cheap
would i be safe looking at the for sales on this forum and buying a strut from there

He meant the eccentric bolt that adjusts camber is stuck probably. The strut tube only slides up and down, if it were blown it would still do that just without any rebound or compression. There is the possibility though the entire tube is frozen in place but it's not large.

Buy KYB AGXs or GR-2s.

i couldnt really understand him and what he said, i kinda pieced together that he couldnt adjust the camber and that something was stuck i asked if it was the strut and he said yes.

how would i be able to tell if its blown and or stuck?
if it was stuck it would not move right?

If the strut is blown then it won't rebound or compress properly and it should be easy to move in/out when taken off the car. Was your car on a rack or a lift when it was aligned?

I'm inclined to believe it's just that the bolt was frozen. there are a few "how do i tell if i have a blown strut?" threads here if you search.

alright its not stuck because it still moves fine
i don't believe its blown because i don't see it leaking and it doesn't seem to fell stiff or loose
i talked to my local autozone and my friend gave me the location of his dads car shop so i think im going to take it there for another opinion

i believe it was on a lift...the drove it up blocked it from rolling and raised the entire platform up

The strut probably isn't blown, if it was compressed when they put it on the alignment rack I can't see how they could tell.
