Ok, so if car goes through a wreck, it supposably loses value right?
But say if a wrecked happend, and instead of repairing the parts, you just replaced them with newer OEM parts?
Like for instance, my hood, trd bumper, air intake and driver fender became bent outta .. and a busted headlight
and if i went to a toyota dealership to order OEM parts, repainted everything to it's original color and everything is back like new..
Would this lose value?
If so, a lot? or little?
would it become a salvage title?

yes it would lose value. any wreck and subsequent replacement of parts will result in a lowering of the value

If the insurance declared it a total loss then it would not be a salvaged tittle.
If there was damage to the frame it will definately loose value(ALOT)
if its just some cosmetic no, not really.
It will just have it on consumer report as accident either major or minor
since yours is just cosmetics it would clasify as minor
as long as there was no structural dmg to the car, then your all good
why? you ask?
selling your car alredy?

thanks guys.. But not sellin it soon.. about to go off to college, and I love my gt, but i would kind of like to sell it sometime and maybe upgrade to gt-s.. I've drivin a couple of peoples GT-S' from school, and i enjoy the kick in of lift, plus drivin a 6spd rather than 5spd.. and it's just other stuff.. but yeah, ive found some great deals online for gt-s' and i was thinkin about selling mine later..
Maybe take off some parts like the cf hood and subs and move em over to a gt-s..
plus if I could sell mine, I would like to make it seem like it isn't wrecked.. and i don't mean lie to the buyer and say "oh, it's never been in a wreck"

oh yeah i forgot..
well if I were to sell it for 12,000 before an accident.. about how would it be worth after being replaced with newer oem parts?

hmm...tough call dude. have you gotten an estimate on the body work and stuff that needs to be repaired?
personally, you're not going to get anything on a trade in, ask around and see if anybody wants a motor and maybe do a part-out? from what i can barely see in your sig pic (never knew you could have 2 pics in a sig btw) it just looks like frontal impact.
whats the extent of the damage?

No air bags deployed (nice)..
Leakin radiator (replaced with along with radiator support)..
cracked intake (just installed CAI)..
busted drivers headlight (just bought new oem pair)..
bought a cf, but like i said could go on gt-s if planned..
paint chip in the driver fender (just repainting it)
Urathane FB held in well. just lots of paint chips and a small crack under the top grill.. I just got it back repaired and it looks new
Originally I was gonna buy a new bumper but it end up being over $1000 so i couldn't afford that and i ordered one of those FRP FPR or w/e td3000 front bumpers and wasn't satisfied with the material as much as the urathane, so i might end up selling it
Im not big on part outs, cause im getting it back by this weekend.. But if i were to sell it before 2009, with less than 75k miles, then i was hopin to get 10,000+

..sell the CF hood. Somehow I don't see you going F/I route to making huge amounts of power...the hood would look way too busy on the GT. Of course, thats just a meaningless opinion from myself :D
If you DID sell the CF hood you just bought, at least you can get a few bucks against the damage you're looking at getting fixed.

the CF is currently my replacing hood.. only costed about $250 .. but if I were to sell my car for gt-s then i would consider sellin the hood and getting an OEM silver, or just keep it for the gt-s..
and most of the damage is fixed.. The only repair ive paid for was front bumper.. I just did everything else myself and sending it back in to repaint the driver fender..
