I'm looking at a 2000 GT-S, and the guy said it's only a five speed, not a six. Is there such a thing? I thought all GT-Ss were 6 speed.
And if it is only a 5 speed I'd be disappointed. :( You think should I be?

Definately should be a 6 speed, unless he ****ed his tranny and put a 5 in there. If thats the case, get the **** away.
If its a GT with a GT-S motor, still i wouldnt trust it.

Yeah that's what I thought. It's from a dealer though and I just called to ask about the car and he said it's a 5 speed. He probably just doesn't know his Celicas though.
The car is almost 90 miles away though so I'll make sure he double checks it, heh.

Is this a reputable car dealer get carfax on it, probably not a certified celi either.
6 is usually better simply because you'll have tighter gearing.
Ask him to double check.

Nah it's for sure a GT-S, says on the carfax. The guy just didn't know it's a 6 speed.

When I got my car they advertised it as a five speed but when I checked it out in person it was a six speed. That was one of the main things I checked when I sat in the car. If you end up buying this car, get a full inspection the same day or the next day. I think most dealerships give you a 3 day grace period to notify them of any issues. So when you take that car home already have plans on getting it inspected. Would save you allot!
