Ok thanks to everyone for there help on NewCelica thus far. Much appreciated, this site is a wealth of information. We jsut finished a 2002 celica gt turbo. We have finished tuning and are installing a turbo timer. I have installed several on other cars not on a celica or a toyota for that matter. I have read this entire forum from front to back and i still have a problem, or I wouldnt be posting this. I am hoping someone with a turbo timer can look under the dash and tell em the exact wires and colors they tapped into for the ING and ING2 wires. I'm sure we have power and ground right but the car just isnt staying running when the key is turned off. Instead the dash lights and running lights are staying on untill the countdown is done, but the powerfc and engine is shutting off still when the key is turned back. We have done this test with the ebrake wire grounded out and not grounded out, to rule that out. I really just want to know the exact wires and colors coming off of the ignition switch harness in the steering column that folks are tapping into. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

So does anyone know? ive been all over this site and looked at every diagram. Can anyone confirm at least that i work with the wires on the plug going into the key switch? thanks if anyone can take a picture for me that would be sweet.

Turbo timers aren't really a necessity anymore IMO.

Ok folks, Ive never seen anything like this over something so simple. On most message boards a guy would have tons of information and helpfull replies by now. Ive been at this for like 4 months now. i really just need a quick look from anyone on the board who is running one. I don't need anymore help deciding if there necessary or not. This isn't for me its for a friend of mine, she has a turbo celica and an Apexi turbo timer she wants me hooked up. That is all. I mean seriously i see someone relied get excited hoping someone finally has something usefull to contribute, and its just another useless comment every time.

Can someone jusst tell me which wires behind the ignition switch to tap into . That is all?

You'd be better off in the "electrical" section. And I seriously don't know of anyone who has one on this board. Maybe I'm wrong - and that wouldn't be the first time - but seriously, you don't need one.

dude, you ain't helping. :stfu:

spank110, I do have one but I won't be off work until later today. I will try to take a snapshot of how it was hooked up.

:wtf:

:jerkoff:

Newer oils are much less prone to coking than old oils. Turbo timers are completely unnecessary unless you shut your car off immediately after going balls to the wall. If you watch oil temperature, it pretty much doesn't drop at all in 30 seconds of idling. Driving your car for one mile at cruise speeds is far more effective at coiling your oil than a turbo timer.

Only reason I'm against it is unless you're at the track all the time then its a complete waste of gas/time. And at the rate at which gas prices are rising, you'd be a fool to do it. That's just my .02 cents.

I'll see if I can dig something up for you anyways. Two eyes are always better than one.

Check this out:

Well looking at the English instructions for the Greddy TT it has the same color wire as the Apexi so you will have to switch the wires from Bing's guide.

Greddy TT Wires Codes:

Red Wire - 12v
Blue - Accessory
Green - Ignition
Brown - Parking Brake
Purple - Speedo

i used bings install guide: http://home.zonnet.nl/jongbinghu/tur...urbotimer.html

the acc and ignition wires need to be switched. so it should be this:

Wire 3: 12v when key is switched to ignition mode.
Wire 6: 12v when key is switched to accesoiry mode.

Just know that the link is broken. Hope this helps bro.

EDIT: Here is one of Bings write ups: http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=148597

Thank you so much i can't wait to see it. I get alot of replies that tell me what the wires want to go to and i know this ive installed turbo timers before. The real problem im having is where these wires are on the celica, nobody seems to know.

Anyways... Pnoy, thanks alot, i look forward to your reply. Perhaps just put the picture up on this thread so others can search it.

ok, i just intalled mine a few days ago, if you look on the diagram in the pdf here you can find the wirering on the ingnition switch, pm me and i can tell you what page,

pin 1 is the main power
the acc pos. pin 1-3
the on pos. pin 1-2-3 -AND- pin 5-6,

5-6- is for the fuel pump,

what i did was wire a relay to connect 5-6, that is activated with the ingtion wire, this will keep it running

but thinking about it better now, im not sure if its 5 or 6 that is the +, but you can also try to just power 3 and (5 or 6), the because the timer will keep power going to its acc and ing wires, the only thing is that im not sure if it looks at the voltage drop to keep it running,

and also i had to wire a swith to ground it for the e-brake signal, because the wire on the switch wouldn't work

but if anything send me a pm, i'll more than happy to help

curious if someone can help me out on this? I jus bought a used greddy turbo timer it has a red green and white wire then it has the black ground wire. If i have a gts is it drifferent?
So am I supposed to connect:
1. Red wire power to wire 1 in the diagram above?
2. White wire splice into the acc 1-3 connect them together?
3. green wire splice int 1-2-3-5-6 all together?

please straighten out my confusion
