I just got a set of Tein SSP's and EDFC for my 2000 gt-s and i was just wondering how i should set it up. I know that it can hold 3 preset dampening forces, so i'm thinking:
a soft set up for daily driving and comfort
really stiff all around for autocross and fun on windy roads
a set up for drag racing, which is supposed to be really stiff in the back to keep the weight from rolling to the back, right? if i'm wrong on this, please correct me.

and how low should i drop my car? i have Enki Or52 rims with 205 50 15 tires. just like before, i'm looking for the best height drops for daily driving, autocross, and drag racing.

any info you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

All denpends on your roads. there are still actual brick roads where i am and they are such crap. I have mine only 1/4 the way down and have around 3 finger gap which i think looks massive after having tires tucked but everyone else says looks find for daily. ;) For daily setting, having 8front-10rear or 10front12rear is decent setting. Keeps from bottoming out but still not massivly stiff. Having a setting where its full max hard would be another good setting just to have fun. As for the drag setting, i dont know enough to say

The first thing I would do, is to make sure the ride height was correct.

If you want a 3" drop, forget it.

Tein isn't height adjustable. There is a "large" margin they give you over stock, but it's not possible to go above or below that without compromising longevity.

I have the coilovers set that my car sits higher than the preset from Tein.

I have the rear of the car slightly higher by a quarter of an inch or so.

This increases the spring rate marginally while seating the spring correctly.

I recommend going at least a quarter inch all around up, but whatever you want.

The best settings are near full still for the rear and soft for the front.

8 and 2, 6 and 4, whatever you think is feasible. 4 and 10 is more like it.

I lean more toward full stiff for the SSP's because the spring rates need an up from the factory and also the valving.

I'm running 4 and 2 for months and its stiff. I don't really want to blow out the coilovers, but I don't care. I want to break the car and it seemed to work.
