Hi everyone,

I was reading some reviews on the Bridgestone potenza RE040 tire and a few of them said "very severe tramlining in the motorway". OK, I guess that's british english. But english is not my mother language anyway.

Could anyone tell me what 'tramlining' means???

Thanx

I think it has to do with a tendency for the tires to get a mind of their own when near ruts in the highway. Over time, gentle depressions/ruts get dug into some surfaces by heavy traffic...apparently someone feels that these tires are too affected by these ruts. They get sort of "sucked in" to the ruts and want to follow that track instead of what you're asking for with the steering wheel.
