The setup I current have on my car is Tein S-Techs on KYB GR-2s. I have the stock sway bars with adjustable sway bar endlinks. The next thing I need to do is replace one of my strut mounts so I figure I will get both of them replaced with KYB strut mounts. At the same time as doing the strut mounts I figured why not get the strut tower bar done. Right now I am thinking I will go with the Tanabe Sustec... with my setup should that be a good fit? Has anyone had any problems with the sustec? I just want to make sure I am not going to hurt myself as I try to upgrade.

That bar sucks. Furthermore I have found that a celica performs much better without a strut tower brace, the strut tops need to flex a little bit to keep the wheels on camber. You don't get any additional chassis control with the tower bar and you'll lose a bit of grip.
Most people buy strut tower bars on Celicas because they a: don't know anything about setting up a suspension besides the woefully uneducated opinion of more parts = stiffer = better or b: they want to put more stuff on their car because the more "modified" it is the better.
Please don't read my statement as "strut tower bars are useless." On some cars they're great and make a big difference (RX7, 350Z). With the location of the strut towers in the celica they are quite rigid and do not benefit from additional stiffening.

I did notice that the tanabe bar gave me slightly tighter steering feel, but with that I got more understeer, figured id leave it on and get some sway bars(stiffer rear bar) to equal it out the understeer, and still have that precisness in the steering wheel with the strut bar. Still have to decide, prolly never will, who knows.
