i'd say do some suspension work. that really raised the fun factor of the car for me.

Power FC
definitely some wheels/tires and suspension work - makes the car so much more fun.
you're never going to make enough power in a Celica - face it, a B18C1 in a Honda can hit 200 whp NA easily, there have been 0 Celicas to do so thus far.

yeah your pretty much SOL in terms of horsepower unless you are ready to start dropping hundreds to thousands of dollars. If you can't do turbo then I would just call it done and focus on things besides th engine. Header wise PPE is your best bet, but is also the most expensive. Cheapest would be DC or boosted's ported headers. The PFC would also help but it's not cheap. Basically anything you do now to increase HP is going to cost you 600+ just for parts let alone install. I wouldn't do Nitrous either, unless you are drag racing competitively then it doesn't make sense to me.

A savings account. After you mod the Celica and later get bored with it you'll wish you saved your money. You can thank me later.

strip useless parts off your car. cheap way of getting a tiny bit of more usable hp. unfortunatly if your no going FI , theres not much your gonna do to significantly add power. only option is a 50 shot of nitrous. def. wouldnt go higher though.seems some people on here have that with stock internals.

I have a 2000 GT 5 speed and to be honest, of the 3 years I have had it, I wish I never would have modded. If I had saved, I would be way further along in my savings for my next car. I regret modding the Celica because it will always be slow (at least the GT). I don't feel like investing into a turbo because I have 121K miles on it. I have I/H/E rims, body kit, lowering springs, HIDs, short shifter, stage 2 clutch... It is still slow and it will always be slow unless you get a turbo/supercharger. Good luck in whatever you do.

i learned my lesson and decided to save my money for now ever since i lost about 400 on a used header. Decided its not really worth my money. Later on down the road however i will most likely drop it, throw in some HIDS, and probably tint the tails. But thats about it.
On a gt, your best bet is I/H/E and a PFC but it gets costly. Try some nice, lightweight rims and quality tires.
