I have TRD pads on only my rear brakes.

I did have TRD's all around, but the front ones where getting low, so I replaced them with OEM ones from Toyota, still do plenty nice, didn't notice much diffrence. (Probably Toyota > Autozone)

How much are those TRD pads? I never checked cause I figured they were overpriced like everything else you get from the dealer. Figured the aftermarket had pads just as good for half the price.

Is your GT a 2001? You should be able to use the PTR09-20001-30

With somehting as important as your brakes I wouldnt turn to ebay. Call up one of the vendors (JSC speed) they can get you a good deal on powerslots (OEM size), and hawk HPS pads (i think)

the local pepboys has some "performance" rotors alot cheaper than the powerslots, ive had those rotors on my neon r/t and i never had a problem with them, so i may go that route, the only thing is that they are cross drilled/slotted and i just want slotted thats the only thing thats holding me back, and tuanizzle can u imagine a thundercloud molly/tsunami? i think ud be doing us all here at nc.org a favor :gap:

The powerslots are good rotors (have them for my car). Normally I'd say just use the pepboys ones but you want to stay away from cheap drilled/slotted.

Btw the TRD pads are just Hawk HPS and they can be found at a cheaper price.

Never looked at them both back-to-back but I have read many times they're the same. I'll take the word of someone who has seen both over my own any day.

Just get regular pads, unless you really want pay allot more just for the name. If thats the case, nobody is going to look at your pads up close! "OH!! you got the trd brake pads!! WOW!"

Save yourself some money and buy some at autozone bud :)

i used autozone pads on my moms avalon and went through two pairs in about a year and a half, they have free lifetime replacement warranty, but they keep messing up the rotors, leave crazy brake dust, and are noisy, and ull pay 40-50 bucks for any "premium" ceramic or watever pads at any autoparts store, so trd pads for the same price sounds good to me, although i did use Satisfied Pro ceramics on my sis gt last month and like emm they dont grab like the trd but are good

You can get "discounts" on any pad you want.

This crazy talk on Autozone pads and TRD is nonsense to this forum.

Hawk=TRD. You can get any brake pad you want for a price.

Online sales and the venders on this site can give discounts on pads that are better than the dealership.

Ordering TRD pads from Toyota is retarded.

I also paid 38 for the TRD/HPS pads in the back and the HP+ in the front.

That's in beans literally.

I bought TRD pads from the dealership and they upgraded my fronts to "JDM" I didn't know they made JDM pads. Anyways, as soon as they were in I noticed a difference. The dust is the only thing that keeps me from buying TRD again...that and i'm broke and autozone replaces mine for free :gap:

I got the black ones. I never looked at the part number on the invoice. I remember going through the forum and got them from a link here. It turned out to be Carson Toyota. They gave me a call to see if I wanted the upgrade. They had good service, I recomend buying from them. They hooked it up with the certificate for my TRD Exauhst when I got a ticket around the time I bought these. Just don't get work done from them...they screwed up my fog lights and refused to take responsability for it.
