Well, here's the story. I got out of work, walked to my car in a shared parking lot, got in and drove off not noticing anything. Went to fill up on gas and noticed that one of my sidemakers wasn't working (mind you its LED) so I walk around to take a look after I get to my buddy's place and fix the light .. it seemed loose for whatever reason. Next thing I do is look up and start swearing up a storm. Much to my frustration I noticed that someone had the brains to go and mess up my passenger fender :fawk:! Stripped paint right off the thing all the way across the wheel well back.. I have no idea how they didnt do damage elsewhere on the car, but to say the least I was surprised. Not only did they take paint right off of the darned thing, they left a nice pinch / dent in it too!!! I hate public parking lots.. People are way too inconsiderate. They should have at least left a number or note with their info.. :(
Anyways, that brings me to my point.. does anyone have a good suggestion as to what I should do? Should I just have them fix my fender and repaint? Or should I just go balls out and get a new set of fenders (metal but possibly nice aftermarket ones). What do you guys think?

Cant :S.. It was a hit and run. That and my deductible is higher than what it's going to cost to repair.

thats sucks. its pretty near imposible to keep a car in great condition as a daily driver. i always try to park as far away from people as possible but with todays traffic, thats a hard thing to do.id get an estimate on how much a body shop will charge to fix fender and then compare that to, lets say f1 fenders or something.figure itll be cheaper to just fix the one damaged fender.

ya i think most deductables are like 500 bucks. better off just doing it yourself in this case.

Yeah, I have a relative that can do the paint job on off hours.. I just have to see when he's available. I know he does great work, just have to make sure I catch him when he has some time XD. I guess im mostly looking into replacing the fenders now, just have to find some nice ones that are already prepped for painting. Know of any?

a couple of different style fenders out there.pretty much just different vents cut into fender. about 200-300 bucks i think? not so sure about the fittings on them as some people say a lot of them fit like crap.think some dudes on here have the f1 fenders and i think they look nice on a celica.

I would just hit up the for sale forum or junkyard for a cheap one.

Are you sure? I think it would fall under uninsured motorists, most deductables for that is 300. I would call and ask.

Thanks for the responses so far guys. I have a feeling that I'll just have my relative paint them for me, I just have to pay for the paint and for his time that way. If you guys find any good fenders that are metal and prepped for painting let me know.:headbang:
