What if the other person is at fault? will their insurance company have to cover the costs of "after market" parts that were damaged?

Im confident enough in my awareness while driving to just have liability. Never have caused an accident and i keep my vehicle maintained. no need to piss away more money on insurance. its also just a celica

I know for a fact my aftermarket parts aren't insured.

which is why I parted my Celica out after I totalled it and reinstalled stock parts - so I got a check for more than I paid for the car from the insurance company, plus all the $$$ from the parts I removed.

I use allstate and have my Alltrac covered with full coverage insurance for $25K as a modified vehicle. It was a bit extra on the premium, but not horribly much since its a weekend only limited mileage vehicle.

Mind you you need seperate insurance through SCCA or NHRA or someone if you are looking to have coverage if damaged when engaged in motorsports.

I've had my modifications insured for years and keep all my reciepts. I decided to do this with my RSX after seeing so many of them being stolen. Progressive gives you 1k in aftermarket parts coverage for free if you ask for this policy addition.

huh, progressive wanted me to pay an additional premium for any aftermarket parts. they also call every 3-4 months just to see if I have any installed so they can adjust my premium which is already totally fvcking absurd in price.
