Guys - I was looking in my engine bay determinning how I would go about installing CAI and noticed this hose hanging down, not connected on both ends as it appeared it should be. Does anyone know what this hose is for and if it is supposed to be connected on both ends to something...at this point only one end is connected (down by the header) and the end I am holding in my hand is just dangling down by the fan...any ideas? Thanks

Goes to the stock airbox butterfly valve air canister.

Yea, assuming the butterfly valve has been removed it should just be plugged up and forgotten about.

Also, that's an intake manifold, not a header. ;)

Thanks to all of you, I haven't been able to nail it down via my searches or the install guide but is this the hose I would use to suck seafoam into the intake manifold?

That's one place you can put Seafoam through (though you'll probably want to yank the inline blue valve first). Another spot would be the bigger PCV hose.

Thanks BB..much appreciated feedback...I've read some of the Seafoam info on the site, and I've encountered messages to the effect of if I don't use the right line then I am not covering all cylinders with the seafoam...assuming I remove the blue inline valve, is there any reason I would use this hose vs the PCV hose, or vice versa? I would like to cover all cylinders and use the hose that is most recommended...I have an 01 GT and am employing the seafoam in an attempt to reduce oil consumption...in addition to one of these hoses (or both maybe), I plan to use it in the gas tank and where I pour the oil...sorry for the additional questions on seafoam, I can tell by the search results it has certainly been a never ending topic of the board! thanks again
