I just bought this car, I got a 2000 GT with 88000 miles on it. The car was $8400, and I have a 60 day 3000 mile warranty. I have only been driving it for two days, and this morning on my way to work I had the heat on, and heard a loud high pitch "whine noise" that was a constant noise, and I tried fooling around with the heat controls I thought it might be the fan, I turned off the heat and it eventually went away after about 15 seconds, then it wouldnt come back. Any ideas what it might be? I have been trying to make it come back so that I can bring it back to the dealer and have them fix whatever it is, it is VERY annoying.

And I am almost positive that it is coming from inside, not the engine compartment but it might be. It sounded like it was coming from the area where the passanger seat is. For some reason I think it has something to do with the heat/ac system.

If it's coming from inside it's probably the blower motor for the heater/ac. I'm on my third. If it's coming from the engine bay it's probably the belt. Mines whined up till I got a Gatorback belt.
