cold air intakes will give u the most gain, its not dangerous as long as u dont drive over 14 inch deep puddles... try companies such as AEM or INJEN

Injen = High End
AEM = Low End
Blitz = Short Ram... if yah live in a place that floods a lot go with this due to hydrolocking.

Oh yeah to address dangers...
If your in an area that floods knee high often then yes there is a danger. There is a chance that water will get sucked into the engine via the CAI and hydrolock the Engine. Its a rare chance. I had my car flooded to the door and nothing happened to me. As for anything getting into it... the filter is pretty heavy duty and its in a place where I don't think much debris can get into it. Alot of people have had CAI on this board and I haven't seen one problem yet. As for what brand... like I stated about...
GTS = Injen; they seem to react to lift excellent
GT = AEM; gives an awesome boost on the low end... GT has none so we need every inch we can get.
Hope that helps, anyone wana feed the fire?

what about the check engine light? does it come on with either AEM or injen?
Check Engine light shouldn't come on if installed correctly. If it does, I guess you could unhook your battery for a minute to reset the ECU.
I'm putting a custom CAI into my car pretty soon (got a 6th Gen) and where I live, we have pretty harsh winters (lots of blizzards, salted roads, etc). When winter comes, should I remove my CAI and put the air box back in to protect against the moisture and salt? Should I take extra steps to protect the intake? Or should I just not worry about it and leave it alone.

GT lacks high end...so in my case i will have to disagree with you Matt. I love my Injen and it does provide you some nice gains.

I am gonna have to agree with Namja and say Injen. I have an auto GT and it feels like a whole new car with the Injen. I helps alot with that dam* lethargicly slow 3rd gear in the autos.
