i have a 2000 celica gt. i want to know what is better, a cold air intakes or just a regular intakes? is it dangeous to put a cold air intakes into any cars? thanks for your help..

B4 this is moved to the noob section, i'm going to answer ur question.......the cold air intake is a better performer due to the fact that it sucks in the cooler air from the bottom of the car unlike the regular intake/ram which sucks in some of the engine heat......cooler air = more air = more hp....as far as is it safe, i would say so unless u go into a puddle more that a foot deep......then again i would say get the water/splash gaurd for safty

only way u can get hydro lock is if u submerged the filter in water and give it oh maybe 7k worth of throttle ( if im wrong pls correect me ). i have cai and i love it!! i noticed a little bit of high end increase.
