Just to introduce myself I'm Jason, and I have a 2000 GT-S, as well as a 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Ive been modding the eclipse for a while now but recently started on the celica. Anyway, I was looking for some advice as to which mods to start with? An intake is in the mail as we speak. Also was wondering about some of the maintenaince issues with the GT-S. If some of you could alert me to potential problems at least I could know what to look out for. Sorry for the long post, and TIA.

depends on what you want as to where you start. are you looking for performance or appearance or both?

Look out for the belt tensioner problem. DOn't misshift, you'll have a hard time with toyota on that one. There isn't a whole lot of performance mods. I'd go with a tighter suspension setup. But then again, i'm more go than show.

We are just looking for some better performance out of the car. I would be interested in doing some suspension work as long as it doesnt lower the car any. Appearance wise I don't think we are interested in doing much. The biggest problem is I don't know what is good out there and what is a waste of money. Almost ordered the AEM pulley "set" until I realized it was just the alt. pulley. I have a underdrive pulley on my eclipse and love it. So really if I could get a small list of preferred vendors you guys use it would be very much appreciated. TIA
