I doubt it wil happen... they've been hinting towards it since Spring of 2000, and nothing thus far...

Maybe Toyota finally decided to do something for this car...........................................just in the wrong direction. ;)

I don't like ragtop anything. I'm just not into a ragtop.... I think a hardtop just looks better on pretty much everything.

I think that page is really old. The rest of those cars on that page were old prototypes or have already gone into production.
So heres a tentative welcome to last week.

I'm partial to the Toyota WiLL Vi ;) The Celica convertible isn't that bad. I'd like to see it in person.

it would be better if it be a hard top or T-top like the Supra

exactly was i was gunna say...t-top is the dopest like camaros and supras. you won't have to worry about smashing your skull and brains on the asphault if you got some steel protecting your head :) ...unless you install a rollbar/cage

I hope this isnt just a UK thing, seems stupid like the article says its raining all the time here, however its been so hot recently :) Id rather have the air-con tbh. The convertible's are designed for women or posers imho :)

I think it looks good as a convertible, but it will probably look ugly as sin once you put the rag-top up.

What's this about the Toyota Altezza: "2-litre V6, 3-litre V6 and 250 bhp twin-turbo 2.5-litre V6 options are expected."
Huh? do they actually have those engine options? Specifically the 2.5 V6 TT?

I like convertibles, but I don't think the current Celica needs to have a convertible option. It would look sooo bad with the top up.
I don't like the looks of it, and as Bobbeh says, it rains a lot here, so it's kinda useless... :wiggle:
