So, decided to take yet another crack at removing my mysterious non-stock antenna today (at 2 AM....). Started off with my normal approach of wrenching it off, but it would only jump along something and it never actually loosened. However, right before I gave up, the rubber "shell" surrounding the crappy antenna actually got loose and lifted up, leaving my access to the base of the actual antenna wire. So I grab my handy dandy wrench and get a grip on it and start to twist the antenna off...

Only to have it bust off at the male part of the damn antenna wire...

So now I am antenna-less, and I cant even screw one in...

Here the hole is after I adjusted the base to be below the surface level of the car...

Srsly tho, this is the... 3rd? Ebay product I've found on this car. How do people get this f@#$ing cheap?

LET THIS BE A LESSON LEARNED!! DON'T GO CHEAP 'n' CRAPPY!

On the bright side (pun intended) I got to use some Maguires PlastX on my headlights, so atleast one thing got done right tonight. Only the left one is done in the pics for comparison.

lol nice one, did you use a buffer on your headlights? or just rub em in?

lightly sanded with 2000 grit sandpaper, then buffed in the PlastX
