locking caps are fine and good, but that wont help against a phillips head and a hammer to the bottom of your tank!

Or better yet a sheet metal screw and take a gallon or here and there.

Get slammed like me, you can even barely get your arm under my car, let alone a arm with hammer, its impossible to get both under there, one to hold the screwdriver, one for the hammer.
Also. WTF why waste your money on a locking gas cap, lmao roflcopter batman. I'm positive all recently made cars have the anti-siphon ball in the fill hose, not to mention, celica's have the gas doors that open from inside the car, they would have to take a pry bar to it in the 1st place. At that point in time, they would be pissed off and with a crow bar, and even after they got the locking gas cap pry'd or mutilated to the point that it fell off (along with most the precious body/paint around the gas lid) they wouldn't be able to get any gas out. Then you just have some pissed of people with nothing to loose and and a pry bar, alone with your car. Just FYI.

A guy at my work who has a ford explorer just had his gas siphoned out of his tank this past tuesday. He bought a locking gas cap yesterday for like 12 dollars.
Then again, the stupid fords have NO remote-release type of fuel doors (anybody can open the door from outside to access the cap).
I've heard of people prying open the remote-release fuel doors on cars to steal gas. Hopefully that doesn't happen to me. I'm too lazy to use a locking gas cap until that happened since I usually leave the car running when I gas up & don't want to take the keys out to unlock a cap if I don't have to.

This has been happening a lot out here. Mainly in North Scottsdale I believe. It would piss me off to get into my car to find my car won't start because all the gas was syphoned!!:bang:
