i ordered some rims this week. they are 18x7.5 VX-Scythes in gunmetal and they weigh at 19 lbs each. im not quite sure on what tires to get. im thinking either 215/40/18 or 225/40/18. would i see a difference in looks and performance between the two? also, im not sure on what brand of tires yet. ill only be doing daily driving (no racing/autox) so im looking into the yokohama parada's.

umm the best fit is 225/35/18
the 225/40/18s are a bit too big, where as the 215/40/18 are closer to the 225/35/18's in diameter, they are less wide. I personally will get 225/35/18's but I got a good deal on 215/40/18s so I hope it will fit fine.

I wouldn't advise rubbing up against curbs or sidewalks with any size tire. :nono:
Your worries with 225/35 won't be significantly different than with the other sizes you mentioned.
