ok, first of all please only respond if you have any knowledge on the subject. heres the deal...
i replaced the stock speakers in my celica a while ago, and had two comp subs. i decided that i wanted trunk space, so i took them out, but i still can't get very much bass from my door speakers. i know that they arent going to hit like subwoofers, but i cant really get any bass from them. i have all aftermarket speakers(a set of pioneer components in the back, bought without tweeters for $20 and a set of pioneer coaxials in the front, with sound deadening material). anyone know of other ways to get good bass form just door speakers? i like my trunk space...

i think 40rms 220max, at least somewhere in that range, and no, they aren't amped. i just run them off of my pioneer deck

i still have my stock ones, i know i know wtf...lol anywase i replaced the deck with a alpine one of the newest ones thats has only a usb cable. Got the harness to use with the factory amp and put a sub in the back sounds good to me. When i have the sub turned off the door speakers still sound good have a lil bass to em but not much. Your not going to get that much of a bass sound out of a 6.5" speaker unless you want to spend $$$$$$$$$. A friend runs a stereo shop has a new line in there like 1300$ for a pair of 6" but they hit like 8" if not beter than 8"

the speakers do still play a role but placement is key. i prefer infinity components . some of the best of the best components would be diamond audio, mb quart, and focal to name a few.

also if you want more bass i'd mess with the LOUDNESS setting on your headunit.
