I need to pass California Smog Test for my 2001 Celica GT 110,870 miles with CAI. I didnt pass at first because I had my Air Fule Ratio tapped on the O2 sensor wire, but my HydroCarbons is on the border line of failing and i am afraid that if I retest it might fail. The max HC is 61ppm and my car measured 61ppm.
Do you guys have any idea on how to lower the HC for our cars?

easy....
seafoam your car's intake, take throttle body cleaner to your throttle body.... clean your CAI, and then use some BG K44 to clean the fuel injectors.
Then... when you go there make sure that your car is completely warmed up.... and that they do the test when your car is completely at operating temperature. Drive your car hard until it gets there....
You CAT will work at full efficiently then...and your engine will not spit out at many bad stuff then at when the car is cold. So...try to bring the car there when there isn't anyone waiting in line, and you'll be next.
Honestly, you shouldn't be having this problem unless there is another problem in the car....but doing the seafoam will clean the carbon off the intake a bit... It's something that should always be done before going to get that test...so that you don't have to waste time....

I'll agree with the Seafoam comment. I've 'heard' about cases where using Seafoam helped people pass emissions tests. Regardless, running Seafoam will probably be good for your car anyway, especially with 111k miles. Search for the thread on how-to Seafoam your car, it is pretty helpful! Good luck
