Hello all, I should have a silver 2000 Celica GT-S 6-speed by the end of the week and I have a few questions concerning body kits.

First off, I wanted to put a TRD Action Package style body kit on the car. The official kit seems awfully expensive (from what I've seen, unless someone can point me to an inexpensive source?), so I was thinking of picking up one of the several replica kits that I see are available.

I know a replica may have issues with fit so I wanted to know which is the best one to go with? Likewise, which are ones to stay away from?

Also, do body kits come with the lower and upper grille, or do I have to get that seperate? (I want it too look like a stock factory TRD kit).
Do they have a mount for the Toyota badge?

And where is a good place to find clear lenses for the bumper?

Thanks in advance!

best chance for a cheap authentic trd kit is to look in the for sale section. Other then that the dealer may change 1000 for the wing itself. If you do decide to go replica you can go with jintei.

Thanks, how does his stuff stack up to something like the Extreme Dimensions TD3000 kit? I was thinking about possibly buying that one; It comes primed in black with all the grilles and mounting instructions etc.

JUST A WARNING: I wouldn't go with extreme dimensions. I bought several things from them in the past and I had to work my ass off to get them to fit. (Major fiberglass work)

ahh, good to know.
So does Jintei make his own stuff? Does it come primed and with all the proper grilles?
Also, is it polyurethane or fiberglass?

I have indeed read on here that he's the guy to go to.

Thanks for answering all these questions guys, I want to insure a smooth process as I don't have the time or money to mess this up. :)

most (if not all) replica kits have fitment problems. Wait until you can find an authentic. You can hunt down the pieces one at a time, or you can hope to find a whole kit for sale in the parts for sale area.

I paid $750 for a kit that was 85% mint, they normally start there and get up into the 1100 area

Jintei is your best bet with replicas, he does good work.
