I'm doing the LED conversion for the gauges. When I turn the key, I can get all of my indicator lights to come on except for the Oil, ABS, Cruise, and Low Fuel. I know for a fact that Oil is supposed to light up. Are the other three supposed to light with the key turned to the "On" position as well? Strangely enough, I do remember that the ABS wasn't even lighting up with the stock setup... Thanks

Dont take my word for it, but in my memory i see oil and abs, i dont see cruise when key is set to on. Going to the shops in a sec so i can check tho.

Edit: Ok so the lights on were, battery, engine, airbag, something else and brake

Thanks for the help Suffa. This soldering is starting to irritate me. The problem is, I got over-confident and the gods deemed it appropriate to torture my wretched soul by haunting me with seven lights that will not work until I humble myself enough to cry and beg for their mercy. My pride won't let me do this though.

So, to make sure I am getting this right:

1) Cruise will not light with the key set to "On"? Will it light if you press the cruise button with the key set to "On" and in park?

2) The other light of which you speak, where is it located? Is it between airbag and brake? If so, that should be the oil.

3) Does low fuel not light up?

Would a multimeter simply end all of this celestial tomfoolery?

Is your car manual or auto?

1. When the key is in the "ON" position and when you click the button on your cruise control it will light up.

2. thats the oil light and it does light up...

3. It doesn't light up until you have LOW FUEL!!!!

Thank you very much to the both of you. I've got all of the lights working except for Cruise and Oil (and probably ABS)...Low Fuel should be working but we will have to wait and see. I'm going to tinker with the last 3 lights one last time today and then forget about those that don't work.

Thanks again. I appreciate it.

What was the problem anyway? LEDs not correctly soldered?

More or less. The last few, it seemed as though no matter how many times I tried to solder them, they simply would not light. Obviously, one of the easiest ways to check to see whether they are working is to walk out to the car, plug the circuit board in, and turn the key to the "On" position. The only problem is that I couldn't remember if all of them light up or if a few did not, which made me hope that maybe the few that weren't working actually were. Suffice it to say, this was not the case with several. After some more tinkering, all of them light except for the Oil and the ABS, which isn't too big of a loss. :-/ I know Dooly would send me a couple of more LEDs, but I simply do not feel like messing with it any longer. As Sinatra said, two out of three ain't bad. In this case, about twenty-eight out of thirty (?).

Regardless, I installed Dooly's new S7 replica. It looks very nice, especially at night. Pics up Saturday for those interested.
