Well, after running around doing some research on these autobody shops around Bremerton to paint my kit, the best deal I got was $300.00 for my Kam Kit.
Here are the responses for prices and reasons:
Shop 1:
$1000.00
Claims that polyurethane is very hard to paint on. They would have to put several coats to get it right.
Shop 2:
$900.00
Same as above.
Shop 3:
$500.00
They would have to ship it out to a paint shop in Tacoma.
Shop 4:
$300.00
They have all the equipement in house, and it's no problem painting.
I excluded the names cuz I don't want to advertise or give anyone of them a bad name. But if you would like to know, e-mail me and I'll send the the shop names.
As for painting polyurethane, isn't our stock bumpers urethane?

I used to live here, when I lived with my parents.
You going to watch the fireworks at PO?
I'll be at Lake Union on that day. My brother's boyfriend (yeah yeah, tell me about it, they're everywhere) has a yaht, and invited my family to cruz along with him on July 4th. Lucky me!

My stock? It's good. But I'm not going to sell it. I plan on taking my kit off during winter months and installing the stock.

I finally got it painted, and it's a "OKAY" job. There are a few scrathes here and there, and there are areas that need improvement. Hey, for $300.00 bones, it's what I get. Get what you pay for.
I'll post some pics soon.

Uhm, during the winter you can keep the sides and rear, but I would just change the front bumper back to stock... I have 2 years experience with this kit and that's my advice... Rear is sort of a paint to take off... Front is much easier :)

Hmmmm.. I don't think the stock bumper looks good with the Kam sides and back.
I don't mind doing the effort. I gotta keep my investments in good condition.
