Here's what's on it appearance wise: Kaminari Urethane Front and Rear Bumpers, Rod Millen Motorsports Fiberglass sideskirts, Kaminari Carbon Fiber Race Wing, C1 style hoodscoop.

I've got TRD springs waiting to go on the car. And I'm looking at some 17" Tenzo R Mean-6 wheels to wrap up the appearance stuff.

And now...the pics:

Thanks for the compliments! I got the car painted at Wetworks Garage. They did a great job. As for pics of the RMM sides with the doors open, no I didn't take any pics like that. Was there something you wanted to see?

i like your car a lot!!!
i dont like the trd front bumper(it is actually a little higher than the stock bumper.
you make me want to get the rmm side skirts.
hmm maybe i will now.
take some more pics of the sides.
also looks like you shaved the side pieces on the wing too.
and you copied me with the trd thing on the left side, hehe
looks great man just drop it and get some wheels.
dont ruin your car though

X-EVIL-X: Why yes, I did have the shop fill the sides where the Kaminari Logos go. As you can see, I like my car to look extremely clean. So, I figured that would make the wing look better.

I just through the TRD thing on the left cuz the regular toyota badge is weak...and you gotta leave the red GT-S badge on a silver celica :)

Oh, and as I mentioned before, I've got the TRD Lowering springs sitting in my garage (their going on soon) and today I'm ordering my APEXi N1 exhaust.

As for wheels, I'm thinking about 17x7 or 18x7.5 inch Gunmetal Tenzo-R Mean-6 wheels for my ride.

you should take some side shots of the car.
how much did it cost to shave the sides?
so how does that spoiler mount than if theres no side things?
the rmm mounts on the inside of the plates on the side like this
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid19/pd54a2af128262d64fb0443b8453b6817/fdc4892b.jpg
and how much was the spoiler???:)

QuartZ
06-20-2002, 05:37 PM
You mean like this:
<img src="http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/groups/g_6657702/web_DSC06333.jpg?bcgAuY9AUOzvafJ." border="0" alt=" ">

They put something in the sides to hold the CF blade in the middle, but I think mostly it's the press fit from the sides being hard mounted.

The spoiler was just over $500
Dunno on the shaved cost, I just said "Hey Joe, let's fill those emblem spots..."and he said "...cool!" hehe, you would never know they were there. WetWorks does such good work (they did the white Jetta from Fast and Furious)

4B- was that your silver celi I saw as I was dropping it off with my girlfriend?

Looks nice! Our cars look almost identical (but i have kaminari sides and stock hood scoop). Ill probably see you around in irvine since I live in the area. :)

Does your paint match perfectly? And how much did you pay total for the paint job? I took mine to Bodypros and they did a bad job on my kit. They charged me $700 but lowered it to $600 because they took way longer than they said they would. I wish someone would have recommended wetworks to me before I went to bodypros... I'm dropping my kit back off at bodypros for them to redo everything. I hope they get it right this time!!!

Naw mines red. I think you saw Tonys car, he has a silver one with a trd kit on it with racing hart rims. BTW I like what you did with the wing.

I payed $500. They did the front, back, scoop, and wing. My sides were already painted. And yes, it matched perfectly. They even matched the factory paint texture.

Yeah, I'll see ya around I'm sure! :) You'll hear me coming now, cuz yesterday I bought an APEXi N1 over at XS-Engineering in Huntingon Beach....Vrrrrrrrroom!

thanks, I'll be adding some pics this week of my car now that my APEXi N1 is on there, and also I moved the CF spoiler lower half out to the mid position so now it's hiked out a bit further for some more downforce :D

where is the cheapest place to get RMM body kit parts?

QuartZ
07-01-2002, 11:50 AM
To be honest, I don't know of anywhere BUT RMM to get them. I drove down to their shop in Huntington Beach to get my sideskirts since I'm local...well close enough anyway :)

Nice ride Dana,

Looks like my car will look identical to Mark (Redline) and urs very soon.....

I am gonna go with full Kam kit and the CF race wing.... I gotta TRD drop and I got the 18" Gun metal Velox VX-SCYTHE.... I say you go with 18" since TRD doesn't give you too much of a drop....

BTW, how long did wetworks take for them to paint and install the kit? I need to know... I tried to contact Steve (wrenchead) and I can't... I will be in L.A. this coming July 4th weekend and I was just gonna purchase the kit and install it then..... I heard they will paint and install the whole Kam kit for some around $600...

Need rims now

QuartZ
07-02-2002, 10:02 AM
Yeah, I'm thinking 18's...but damn are they expensive...and going through tires is gonna cost $bucks$ I really don't want my car to be slower because of the wheels either...I guess I still need someone to sell me on the 18's hehe.

As for Wetworks, it will take a few days (depending on how busy they are...and last time I was in there they were way too busy). So expect to drop off your kit for a week or two. Joe said mine would take a week and it ended up taking almost 2 weeks, simply because he didn't get around to it for a while. But I dropped my stuff off, so I still had my car.

Definately call Joe at WetWorks and ask before you give up, but also before you drop it off. Explain your situation, and see if he can honestly fit you in. If not, he'll tell you.

Good luck!

Dana darling, the car looks beautiful. Might I suggest bigger and better rims than Tenzo. It hurts me to see such a beautiful looking Celica with cheap rims. Perhaps Racing hart or Volks? Oh and also, a CF hood. :gap:
