What exactly is the butterfly valve? How do you take it out? What are the pros and cons of taking it out? Is it at all hazardous to the engine? thanks.

Wow I remember my days as a newbie wondering all these questions its such a great memory. Ok in laymens terms when you remove your butterfly their is less restriction on the air intake so your car will be louder. Not much but I noticied it right away when I hit around 4000. It also suposedly gives you more power but that is questionable.

that all depends. if he can build his own exhaust with sheet metal and a blow torch, thats one thing. if he could wire a stereo with only his left hand and a screwdriver thats another. maybe he knows a ton about one other cars but not about the celica. or maybe he just wanted the extra attention that the general discussion board gets. oh well. umm this was a pointless post
