what's the big advantage of this pan over stock?

Larger capacity, keeps oil a little cooler, pre welded bungs for oil return line and oil temp gauge, baffled to keep the oil where it should be under hard turns.

I wouldn't mind picking one up myself, but I didn't factor one into my turbo budget.

He got pretty much everything. If you track/autocross your car this is very nice thing to have, esp if you're running R-comps.

Euh, the pan usually includes the magnetic drain plug! The plug being a different size than stock, if anyones buy it, I suggest to make sure you have plug to put on it!

Well I can tell you 100% my pan direct from MWR never came with a magnetic drain plug. Otherwise I wouldn't have wasted money on purchasing one separately.

Anyway, pan is sold.

It's weird! Maybe they changed now. When did you order ?

I ordered mine less than a year ago and the magnetic drain plug was on it .. Same thing for my friend who ordered a bit before me. I actually only realized it was magnetic when I did my first oil change though!
